The Draycote Dash opens the 2026/27 Navigators & General SailJuice Winter Series with two days of varied handicap racing.
Saturday is scheduled to feature four fast-paced average-lap handicap races, giving competitors plenty of opportunities to recover from a difficult start or an early mistake. On Sunday, the emphasis changes to a long-distance pursuit race, with the slower boats starting first and the fastest classes working their way through the fleet.
This combination of short handicap racing and a pursuit finale makes the Draycote Dash a great all-round test of boat speed, consistency and tactical decision-making.
About Draycote Water Sailing Club
Draycote Water Sailing Club is one of the Midlands’ leading inland sailing venues. Its 650 acres of open water provide space for large courses and competitive racing across a wide range of conditions.
The club has an active racing programme, strong handicap and class fleets, and a successful junior academy. Its professional safety team, spacious shore facilities and experienced race-management volunteers make Draycote an excellent venue for the opening event of the SailJuice Winter Series.
